Bloom Where You Are Planted

We planted some flowers this afternoon. It's so nice to add some color to the scenery after the long, cold winter months. I began to think about the phrase we have all heard, "Bloom Where You Are Planted" and what it means. I have this phrase pasted in my email signature. For me, it means where ever you are, make the most out of it.

The flower doesn't begin with beauty and sweet smell. It must progress in phases of natural growth. Think about it.... a seed is a small and unadmired object, alone it is nothing and may be consumed by another living being as a snack. Take the same seed and put it in the earth and add water, it may sprout into a beautiful flower. Now apply this to yourself.

Where are you? What do you want to do and how are you going to get there?

Like the flower, begin with what you have. Get grounded. Take care of yourself. Nurture what you wish to cultivate. If it's a healthier lifestyle, feed your desire with nutritious food, drink lots of water and get an adequate amount of exercise. Everyone's journey is unique. Take each step in the direction of your goal. Don't expect to get there overnight. Good things take time. You will hear, it's all about the journey.

Take a lesson from nature. Water your flower and it will bloom!
