The Meaning of Namaste'

We may hear the word Namaste' recited at the end of a yoga class when every brings the palms of their hands together in prayer position or Anjali mudra. The teacher usually says it first while bowing the head, then the students follow to acknowledge the practice they shared together. So what does it really mean?
