Spring Has Sprung 🌱

thoughts on life

We got a greenhouse last week! My husband is the one with the green thumb, so I am learning. We plan on growing our own food, but for now we are starting with some sunflowers planted from seeds.

I have been going out every morning to water them, and it made me think of the phrase "Bloom Where You Are Planted". It's a simple phrase with a lot of depth, meaning to make the most of your current situation—growing, improving, and finding purpose right where you are, even if it’s not where you expected or wanted to be.

The phrase doesn't ignore what you are going through, instead, it encourages focusing on what you can control: your attitude, your effort, and how you show up each day. Just like a flower doesn’t choose its spot but still reaches for the sun, the idea is to keep improving yourself wherever life has placed you.

People often use it as a reminder to:

  • Appreciate the present instead of always waiting for “better”

  • Invest in personal growth, even in imperfect conditions

  • Create meaning rather than postponing it

Spring is here to remind us that growth is a quiet, steady unfolding. You don’t need to have it all figured out. Just breathe, show up, and trust—you are already planted in the right place to begin again.
